What is NODAL

NODAL turns scattered urban knowledge into a living network of people, data, support and collaboration.

It is a community, platform and ecosystem where people do more than learn: they grow, find collaborators and activate work rooted in their territories.

NODAL builds on Sistema Urbano's field-tested work with communities, local governments and civic initiatives, turning that accumulated knowledge into regional infrastructure.

Why it matters

The region has urban talent, but disconnection keeps it from acting as an ecosystem.

Fragmented actors

People and institutions working on the same challenges often do not know one another.

Disconnected knowledge

Courses, data, field experience and opportunities exist, but they rarely become one shared growth infrastructure.

No clear pathway

It is still hard to move from learning, to contributing, to leading projects with territorial impact.

NODAL reduces those frictions so civic energy can become durable collaboration instead of isolated effort.

Community paths

A trajectory that grows with every step.

01Join and map your interests, skills, city and goals
02Learn through courses, labs, mentorship and community activity
03Contribute cases, resources, questions and local knowledge
04Activate collaborations, roles and projects with real impact

Stories like this already exist across the region. NODAL gives them infrastructure so individual effort can become shared capacity.

How it works

A platform that helps the network remember, match and grow.

Every member profile becomes a node; every useful introduction becomes a connection. Together they form a practical infrastructure for learning paths, opportunities, mentoring and projects.

Click a node to meet that part of the community.

Your role

Your profile is the starting infrastructure.

It maps your city, interests, skills, trajectory and goals so NODAL can connect you with people and opportunities that make sense.

  • Public intro: name, role, city, topics and the urban questions you care about.
  • Member space: skills, projects, availability, community signals and paths for growth.
